PROGRAMME

The NostalBusRally will be a three-day event in 2021. That does not mean that you necessarily have to participate in the three days. It is of course more pleasant for the organization and also for the participants if you can be present during the entire weekend. We will certainly try to ensure that you are not bored as a participant!

Specifically, there is a choice of three possible options:

• participation Friday-Saturday-Sunday
• participation Friday-Saturday
• participation Saturday-Sunday
• participation Friday only (statical display in Oudenaarde)
• participation Saturday only (rally Oudenaarde - Ypres - Bruges with statical display in Ypres)
• participation Sunday only (statical diplay in Bruges)

IMPORTANT | Everything indicates that our event will be able to take place. In case of cancellation, the amounts paid will be refunded in full. Registrations will be closed on July 31.

Friday 20 August

Daily schedule

Op vrijdag verwachten we deelnemers met een of meerdere voertuig(en) tussen 12 uur en 14 uur op De Ham in Oudenaarde. De aanrijroute staat bewegwijzerd vanaf de N60 en loopt via de Minderbroedersstraat - Matthijs Casteleinstraat - Smallendam. We vragen om uiterlijk om 14 uur aanwezig te zijn in functie van de veiligheid van de bezoekers. Van 14 uur tot 17u30 worden de bussen immers tentoongesteld aan het grote publiek. We voorzien op dat moment geen specifieke activiteit voor de ingeschreven deelnemers, maar zien dit vooral als een interessant netwerkmoment. Wie wil kan op eigen houtje de stad Oudenaarde verkennen.  Ter plaatse voorziet de organisatie in drank (tegen betaling). Vlakbij, op de Markt, zijn er ook tal van horeca-gelegenheden om een terrasje mee te pikken. Vanaf 15 uur kan er ook worden ingecheckt in het Leopold Hotel, dat vlak naast het evenemententerrein gelegen is. Om 14u30 wordt het event officieel geopend door Herman De Croo, minister van staat, en Marnic De Meulemeester, burgemeester van Oudenaarde.

On Friday we expect participants participating with one or more vehicle(s) between 12 noon and 2 pm at De Ham in Oudenaarde. The approach route is signposted from the N60 and runs via the Minderbroedersstraat - Matthijs Casteleinstraat - Smallendam. We ask to be present no later than 2 pm in function of the safety of the visitors. From 2 pm to 5.30 pm, the buses are exhibited to the general public. We do not foresee any specific activity for the registered participants at that time, but see this mainly as an interesting networking moment. Those who want to can explore the city of Oudenaarde on their own. The organization provides drinks on site (for a fee). Nearby, on the Markt, there are also numerous catering establishments to enjoy a drink on a terrace. From 3 pm it is also possible to check in at the Leopold Hotel, which is located right next to the event site. The event will be officially opened at 2.30 pm by Herman De Croo, Minister of State, and Marnic De Meulemeester, Mayor of Oudenaarde.

Those who participate without a vehicle must be present at De Ham in Oudenaarde by 6 pm at the latest.

After 6 pm, access to the site is physically closed and security is provided until departure on Saturday morning.

Meals and overnight stay

Vanaf 18 uur sluit de site voor bezoekers en houden we met de deelnemers een (inbegrepen) aperitief bij de voertuigen. Vanaf 19 uur vertrekken er pendelbussen naar de locatie voor het avondmaal, op een kleine 2 kilometer van De Ham. We genieten er van een barbecue met uitzicht op het Donkmeer.

The site will close for visitors from 6 pm and we will have an (included) aperitif with the participants at the vehicles. Shuttle buses leave from 7 pm to the location for the evening meal, which is less than 2 kilometers from De Ham. We enjoy a barbecue with a view of the Donkmeer.

De Ham is located just in front of the hotel (Leopold Hotel) where we have a number of reserved rooms (including breakfast). Given the very practical location of the hotel and the lack of many alternatives, we strongly recommend that you book rooms in this hotel. NostalBus made agreements for this and was offered favorable rates. As a participant you will receive a booking link after registration where you yourself must guarantee the concrete reservation and payment of the room(s). The rooms reserved for participants are guaranteed until 30 June 2021 at the latest and while stocks last. The rooms can be canceled free of charge up to 1 day before the event.

Saturday 21 August

Daily schedule

Op zaterdag geniet je van je ontbijt in het hotel. Uiterlijk om 10 uur vertrekken de bussen voor de eigenlijke rally richting Ieper. Hiervoor wordt per bus een roadbook ter beschikking gesteld. Omstreeks 12u30 komen we aan in Ieper in de omgeving van het station. Daar wordt een broodlunch aangeboden. Een geselecteerd aantal bussen zal tussen 13u30 en 14u00 naar de Markt geleid worden. Daar kan slechts een gedeelte van de bussen worden tentoongesteld. De andere bussen blijven achter aan het station maar zijn ook te bezichtigen voor het grote publiek. Er wordt daartoe een pendeldienst ingericht tussen beide locaties. Het publieksevent loopt van 14u00 tot 16u30.

On Saturday you enjoy your breakfast in the hotel. At the latest at 10 am, the buses will leave for the actual rally towards Ypres. A road book will be made available for this. We arrive in Ypres around 12:30 pm in the vicinity of the station. A bread lunch is offered there. A selected number of buses will be led to the Market between 1.30 pm and 2 pm. Only part of the buses can be exhibited there. The other buses stay behind at the station but are also open to the general public. A shuttle service will be set up between the two locations for this purpose. The public event runs from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

From 4.30 pm the buses for part 2 of the rally will leave for Bruges. The buses will be adjusted on arrival at around 6 pm at the closed site of De Lijn at the station. Shuttle buses depart from there to the hotels for a smooth check-in. After check-in, shuttles will return to take participants to the dinner location. The evening meal will run until approximately 10pm-11pm, after which shuttle buses will run again to the hotels.

Meals and overnight stay

Breakfast is included in the overnight stay at Leopold Hotel Oudenaarde. In Ypres a bread lunch will be provided for all registered participants. In the evening we eat in the city center of Bruges, within walking distance of 't Zand.

In Bruges, two different hotels are offered, located in the same area outside the center, but according to different price ranges:

• Green Park

As an organization we have made agreements with these hotels and rooms are reserved. Unlike in Oudenaarde, we book these hotels for you and you therefore also pay us for these hotels when you register. These rooms can be canceled up to 10 days in advance. These rooms are available while stocks last.

Sunday 22 August

Daily schedule

On Sunday, the shuttle buses leave the hotels at 9 am, in the direction of De Lijn depot. There the buses are picked up and we drive to 't Zand. There will be a public moment between 10 am and 3 pm. In the meantime, participants can take a city walk, experience a boat trip or enjoy a panoramic view from the roof of the Concertgebouw. From 3 pm, after the closing moment, the participating buses can return home.

Meals and overnight stay

Breakfast is included in the hotel price. A pasta lunch will be provided on site at 't Zand, including 2 drinks.
